“La folle vita” è un film coraggioso, emozionante, che tocca dei temi difficili.
I created an alternative poster illustrated on the occasion of the premiere of the film “La Folle Vita” by Raphaël Balboni and Ann Sirot, at the Cineteca Arlecchino in Milan.
“Une vie demente” is a courageous, emotional film that touches on difficult themes.
Quando mi è stato chiesto da wanted cinema di illustrare il poster io non sapevo quasi nulla.
Avevo il poster fotografico, avevo una sinossi e delle interviste degli attori.
C’è una coperta molto particolare nel film “La folle vita”, fatta di piante, fiori e piccoli animali, che prende totalmente il sopravvento nella camera da letto dei protagonisti, mentre la malattia e le incomprensioni procedono di pari passo. Questa coperta con l’andare avanti del film avvolge ogni cosa, oggetti, vestiti, mobili e ingloba i personaggi rendendoli parte di essa.
Ho realizzato i personaggi stessi con la stessa estetica dell’idea di questa coperta, perché loro rompessero la trama, il pattern, e si liberassero, ovviamente a partire da Suzanne, che è il fulcro di questa rottura.
When I was asked by Wanted Cinema to illustrate the poster I knew almost nothing.
I had the photo poster, I had a synopsis and interviews of the actors.
There is a very particular blanket in the film “Une vie demente”, made of plants, flowers and small animals, which totally takes over the protagonists’ bedroom, while illness and misunderstandings proceed hand in hand. As the film progresses, this blanket envelops everything, objects, clothes, furniture and incorporates the characters, making them part of it.
I created the characters themselves with the same aesthetic as the idea of this blanket, so that they would break the plot, the pattern, and free themselves, obviously starting with Suzanne, who is the fulcrum of this break.
